Naming information
Name origin: In ancient Greek myth, the first human woman.
Mythology: Zeus had Hephaistos and others create Pandora in order to punish Prometheus for stealing fire from the gods, as a bride for his brother Epimetheus. Zeus gave Pandora a storage jar as a wedding gift, which she opened, inadvertently releasing the swarm of evil spirits it contained, which would thereafter plague humanity. Only hope remained to ease the suffering.
