Gaza: some resources

Friends:

I run this blog because, for some years now, I have studied and worked with astrology. I, and other people I know well, can testify to its efficacy in providing wisdom and support in matters both individual and collective. There comes a point, however, where anything but raw truth, spoken in the plainest of terms, ceases to have any meaning.

With this in mind, I have created the present post as a resource page for information on Gaza. I intend to add further suitable links as I find or receive them.

There is very little more I can say that has not already been said by more qualified voices than mine; my only comment, I think, can be this: if we do not soon learn that all humanity is our family, we will all be lost. May we embrace peace and compassion as universal imperatives before it is too late.

For far too many innocent people, it is already too late.

Pride and Prejudice (and the Great Attractor)

My original intention for this week's post was to write about the approaching Sagittarius Full Moon, taking place on 4th June. What you are instead about to read is not entirely unrelated to that event; regardless, it seems worth saying*.

When the lunation occurs, the Moon will be conjunct a deep space point known as the Great Attractor (GA). While I was researching the astrological implications of this point, I came across a thorough and most interesting delineation by Philip Sedgwick. He argues that the GA acts as a symbolically attractive force as well as a literal one, drawing us in by our curiosity to seek a hidden gem of knowledge. When we find it, we are in danger of elevating it as the sole and simple truth, to the exclusion of all else: hyperfocused on that one concept as a one-size-fits-all panacea.
